Mandatum is constituted as a Dynastic, Chivalric, and Humanitarian Order under private law, with autonomous institutional sovereignty. For its initial legal framework, the Order has adopted the legal form of a non-profit corporation (Nonprofit Organization) under the laws of the United States.
